The new info

I teach physics at an independent day school in NYC. This year will be my 10th year teaching physics, and I love it.

I use ideas from PUM, Modeling Instruction, TIPERs, and more; I give assessment feedback via Standards-Based Grading; and I still write about all of those topics in a less-concise manner at Physics! Blog!. I am teaching yearlong Modeling Chemistry classes to 9th graders, a yearlong Advanced Mechanics class to 11th (and a few 12th) graders, and trimester-long electives in Relativity and Sound & Music to 11th/12th graders this year.

I’m hoping to use this blog for shorter and more frequently published posts. We’ll see how it goes.

If you want to get in touch, I’m more likely to respond in a timely way through Twitter.
